March 13th, 2008 by bazza

My name is Bailey and I’m in year six. I live in a small country town called Hawkesdale.  I have a brother called Tate a Mum called Cheryl and a Dad called Peter. I have two dogs called Daisy and Carrots and I have two cats called Lexie and Simba.  At school we have Buddies and my buddy is Jack. The students in year six are pared up with students in prep – which is their first year of school. Most of prep students are aged between 4 and 5 and most of the year 6 students are 11 – 12. The big buddies look out for their little buddies in the yard and we get together once a week to do some art or some sort of activities.   I enjoy playing football and riding my motor bike. My house is on a 3 acre block so this is great for riding and climbing.  My favourite things are:Food – pizzaMusic – Justin TimberlakeSport – cricket and soccerBook – SnowyTelevision show –That 70’s show   Friends –Jack, George, Ash, Harvey, Tzigane and Josh Belleville Josh Beattie.                                                          School

I go to a small school called Hawkesdale p/12 College. There are about 250 kids at my school and 22 in my class. There are 4 terms in our school year. My teacher is Miss Murnane. At school we do lots of subjects such as PE, art, Chinese, humanities and science. We have lots of play equipment for the little kids and a football and soccer oval for the big kids. We have lots of computers and books too.                                                                 Hawkesdale

Hawkesdale is a small country town in-between Warrnambool and Hamilton. There are about 450 people living at Hawkesdale. There are no tall buildings or anything, just single storey houses. We have a Pub, Swimming pool, A School, Football oval, Golf Corse and a kindergarten.  The local football team is called the Hawkesdale/Macarthur Eagles. My dad lived in Hawkesdale when he was a little boy and has lived here since. I like living in Hawkesdale because it’s easy to go to sleep because of only the occasional cars driving past.                                                         Victoria

Victoria is the second smallest state in Australia.Victoria has lots of tourist attractions such as the Twelve Apostles, Eureka sky deck, Sovereign hill (a historical gold mining site which was where the Eureka rebellion took place in 1854), Grampians national park and adventure park. I have been to every state in Australia but Victoria is the best of all!                                                                            Australia

Australia is the smallest of the seven continents in the world but we are the biggest island. We have some of the best tourist attractions ever seen. We have the Great Barer Reef, Uluru, Wave rock, Parliament house and heaps more. We have lots of native animals such as Kangaroos, Emus, Wombats, Kookaburras, Quoll and koalas.
